Water Based Ink for Color Coated Paper

The Water based inks used in our coated paper include: self-made modified alkali soluble resin, homemade poly (methyl) acrylate emulsion resin, pigment and defoamer. Water based system is adopted, VOCs detection meets standard, and does not contain ethanol, which is green and environment-friendly. The storage period of ink system is 1 year. It has the advantages of fast drying speed, high gloss, clear and complete transfer of color coated paper and good wetting and leveling, which overcomes the printing defects of common ink on the color coated paper of cigarette packaging box.

Applicable color coated paper

1. Single sided color coated paper: one side is coated and calendered, and the other side is glued. The properties of both sides of the paper are different, which is suitable for printing with different sides.

2. Double sided color coated paper: it is coated and calendered on both sides, with shiny bottom and good dimensional stability. It is suitable for general color printing.

3. Super grade double-sided color coated paper: it is coated and calendered on both sides. It has better luster than the general double-sided color coated paper, and the surface is smooth and fine. It is suitable for the printing of bright articles that need to show metal texture.

4. High grade snow (matte) color coated paper: it is coated and calendered on both sides, but the paper surface has low gloss and the powdery surface does not hurt the eyes.

5. Special color coated paper: it is coated twice on both sides and then calendered. It has good gloss and smoothness, and is suitable for the printing of high-grade color prints.

6. Embossed color coated paper: the paper coated on both sides and then embossed has low gloss. Due to convex pressing, the paper mask has a three-dimensional feeling. It is suitable for color printing such as oil painting reproduction, art advertising design, etc.

7. Light weight coated paper: the surface is slightly coated, which has better surface properties than uncoated paper, and the quality is between coated paper and uncoated paper.

2. Pay attention to the control index of Water based ink. The control indexes of Water based ink mainly include fineness, viscosity, pH value and drying speed, which play a decisive role in the application effect of ink.

3. As the Water based ink is a pure Water based system, attention should be paid not to mix the Water based ink with alcohol based ink and solvent based ink or add organic solvent to the ink to avoid printing quality problems.
