Water Based Red Ink
Water based red ink is mainly produced and processed by compound grinding of water-soluble resin, organic pigment, water and related additives. Water based red ink is mainly based on waterborne polymer emulsion, organic pigment, resin, surface active agent and related additives, which are made of water based printing ink by organic chemical operation process and physical mixing. In view of the fact that it uses water to replace 30% to 70% of the harmful organic solvent in the traditional ink, the ink will no longer contain volatile organic solvents.

Gravure red ink: this type of ink that can be used for gravure printing. During printing, ink is applied to the pattern part recessed in the plate, and the ink in the non pattern part is wiped or scraped off, and then printing is carried out. Manufacturing Process
1. First, put the acrylic resin solution, ethanol and part of deionized water into the dispersion kettle according to the formula requirements, and mix them sufficiently and disperse them evenly.

2. The formula needs to weigh the quasi red pigment and 0.3 parts of defoamer into the dispersion kettle, fully disperse and stir evenly.
3. Move the dispersed materials to the sanding mill for grinding, grind for 3-4 times, and measure the fineness below 15um. Otherwise, grind again until the fineness meets the requirements.
4. Move the grinded materials into the dispersing kettle, According to the formula, the emulsion, water wax, toner, the remaining defoaming and deionized water are put into the disperse kettle, and after sufficient dispersing and balancing.


Several advantages of aqueous water based red ink defoamer

Tips for using water based red ink
1. Do not mix ink with solvent ink. Add water properly during use. When it is really necessary to adjust the viscosity or drying speed, add an appropriate amount of additives such as alcohols or esters.
2. Before use, the ink should be mixed evenly and then poured into the ink tank. The viscosity can be adjusted properly with water before use. The unused packaging barrel shall be covered to prevent the ink from volatilizing in nature.
3. Before use, the technical indexes, especially the hue, shall be tested to see whether they meet the production requirements. If the hue deviation is large, please inform the ink manufacturer to make appropriate allocation to avoid disputes caused by hue error.
4. In the printing process, due to the volatilization of water, the original viscosity and pH value of ink will be affected. The viscosity and pH value must be tested frequently. If necessary, purified tap water or pH value stabilizer should be added appropriately.
5. After printing, the ink remaining on the printing equipment shall be washed with clean water. The ink on the anilox roller of the printing machine shall be cleaned with cleaning agent to serve the next printing.

Varnishes are usually manufactured in closed pots, where oil and solvents are heated to allow rapid dissolution or transesterification. The temperatures involved in the process will vary, but may be between 120 ° C and 260 ° C. The cooking time may be between a few minutes and a few hours. Temperature control is very important in this process. Closely monitor the temperature change rate, the maximum temperature reached and the cooking time. Condensers are usually used to prevent solvent loss. Since varnish contains a dry oil, oxygen in the atmosphere must be removed to prevent its polymerization.
In the production of a typical oily ink varnish, dry oil, alkyd and other solvents are added to the container under nitrogen before cooking. When the correct temperature is reached, hard resin is added. The cooking process continues until the reactants are completely consumed in the transesterification process or sufficient solubility is reached in the solvent. Additives such as chelating agent are added after batch cooling. Finally, the varnish mixture is reheated to obtain the target rheological properties, and the produced varnish is tested before being sent to the storage tank.
